Friday 2nd July saw the successful launch of this year's Formula Student entry from the University of Birmingham, UBR13.

The car, which will compete as number 61 at the Formula Student events at Silverstone and Hockenheim this summer, was unveiled in Chancellor's Court by John Liverton, Manager of Design Engineering at Yamazaki Mazak UK, and UBR Team Leader Robin Langhorn. In a short speech before the car was uncovered, John confirmed Mazak's continued sponsorship of the team into next season, recognising the continuing value of Formula Student in developing the engineering and management skills of undergraduate students.
